Timbular was composed in February 2017 and is dedicated to the Clariphonics clarinet choir. The title is a fusion of the words “Timber” and “triangular”. “Triangular” refers to the composition’s ¾ meter, whose three beats can resemble the three endpoints and sides of a triangle. “Timber” refers to the images of trees in a forest that came to mind while composing the piece.
