As in previous years, one of my new works will be premiered at this year’s charity concert of the Clariphonics Clarinet Choir conducted by my father - but this time my piece won’t have any clarinets in it!
“Serpents of the Red Roof Valley”, a piece for saxophone, piano and percussion. The piece was written for a saxophone student of my father, Luis Plunien, who will be playing the piece together with Markus Schuster (percussion master student at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg) and my mother Gertrud Edwards at the piano.
As always, admission to the concert is free of charge, as donations are collected for the Förderkreis Brasilien e.V., which is celebrating its 35th anniversary with this concert.

Auch in diesem Jahr gibt es wieder eine Uraufführung eines meiner neuen Werke im Rahmen des diesjährigen Benefizkonzertes des Clariphonics Klarinettenchor unter leitung meines Vaters - allerdings bei meinem Stück diesmal ganz ohne Klarinetten!
“Serpents of the Red Roof Valley”, ein Stück für Saxophon, Klavier und Perkussion. Das Stück ist für einen Saxophon Schüler meines Vaters entstanden, Luis Plunien, welcher das Stück zusammen mit Markus Schuster (Schlagwerk Master Student an der Hochschule für Musik Würzburg) und meiner Mutter Gertrud Edwards am Klavier spielen wird.
Der Eintritt in das Konzert ist wie immer Kostenfrei, da Spenden für den Förderkreis Brasilien e.V. gesammelt werden, welcher mit diesem Konzert 35 Jahre Jubiläum feiert.Weitere Infos zu dem Konzert und Clariphonics gibt es auf clariphonics.de/2025
