About the piece:
In 2024, the MOK Fulda – a free, public-access TV studio in Hessen – was shut down after 26 years of operation due to legal changes and a restructuring of the regulatory authority overseeing it. It had been a creative hub for people of all backgrounds and ages to learn, collaborate, and produce media. For me and many others, it was life-changing: a place of healing, discovery, and friendship. In its final days, I created a last broadcast – a collage of photographs telling the full story from the inception of the MOK Fulda to its closure, accompanied by this very piece.

The final image of that broadcast, and cover of this score, depicting a post-apocalyptic scene of a broken-down studio with cables clinging to old equipment like vines in a jungle, a terrifying soundscape of echoing screams from the breaking building and faint memories of what it once housed, was the last thing transmitted for several hours until the distributor shut down the broadcast forever.
